Despite everyone’s best efforts, our damaged back gate remains a work in progress: The bent piece was removed on Dec 23rd as planned, but the lack of a needed part (not surprising, given the holiday season) has kept the repaired gate from being reinstalled before New Years Eve as we’d hoped. We remain confident that everything will be back in place and working, better than ever, in the next few days.
Personal Note: Take the Plunge!
For me each new year is an opportunity to leave behind the more forgettable events of the past, and to plunge, with renewed optimism and energy, into an ever- better future. My grandson Luke is leading the way into 2020 with his new “Birch Bay Polar Bear Plunge” T-shirt, purchased specially for tomorrow:
Shortly after noon tomorrow, we crazies will emerge dripping, with teeth chattering but all charged up from what promises to be a frothy Birch Bay. Until then, on behalf of the entire Sea Links Board, I’d like to wish everyone a safe and joyous New Year’s Eve celebration and an ever-better new year!
