The Sea Links Board of Directors does not resolve barking dog annoyances.
It is best to, first, contact the dog’s owner directly and discuss the problem in a calm and neighborly manner.
If talking to the owner does not resolve the problem, contact the Whatcom Humane Society which provides animal control for Whatcom County. Complete a complaint to have someone visit the home of the barking dog. Be aware that the barking must occur continuously for at least 20 minutes for Animal Control to do a visit.
You can also request a “Barking Log” from Whatcom Humane Society. In this document, you write down date and time the barking begins and stops for each incident. This document will have a Case# attached to it and becomes a court issue.
