I: Website Update
Dear Neighbors,
The board is currently working to restore portions of the SEA LINKS at BIRCH BAY website after a recent virus issue. As a result, some documents may appear missing or temporarily unavailable.
If you’re searching for a specific item, please try using the search box located in the upper-right corner of the web page. Should you still be unable to find what you need, feel free to email us, and we will do our best to assist you.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
II: Flooding Issues
Hello, everyone!
We are aware of the flooding caused by water runoff from Latitude 49. Our team has contacted their emergency management company, and we are currently awaiting a response. We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
In the meantime, we kindly ask all residents to clear any leaves or debris from the drains in front of their homes as soon as possible. This will help reduce flooding and allow the water to drain more efficiently.
Thank you for your cooperation.
III. Gates Held Open
Dear Neighbors – Some of you have asked why the front gate is held open on occasion. We currently have a handful of homes and properties for sale in our community. When a realtor is holding an open house, they will ask that we set the front gate in the open position during the hours of the showing. It is usually for a two-hour period one or two days, then returned to its normal secure position.

IV. Maintenance of Lots
MAINTENANCE OF LOTS – As per our CCRs, all lots must be mowed two times monthly between the months of March through June and at least monthly between the months of July through October. Lots must be maintained in a neat condition:
- Brush, grass, clippings and debris are to be removed from Sea Links
- No grass clippings are to be left in the street
- No plants or lawns can extend beyond the road curb line
If you have a lawn/landscaping service, be sure they are aware of these rules. Thank you!

V. Coyote Sightings
COYOTE WARNING – We have had a report of a sighting of 5 coyotes on the lower open lands just south of our Sea Links community. Please be aware of your surroundings, especially if you should be walking in that area.

VI. Gate Entry Caution
Recently several residents have reported receiving calls from the front gate from someone they do not know requesting entry. If you are not expecting someone or do not recognize the caller, please DO NOT allow the caller entry. This will help to support our community security. Thank you.

VII. Safety Alert
We have received notification that two vehicles at a home on North Golf Course Drive were broken into. Even though we live in a gated community, unfortunately we are not immune from burglaries. The HOA Board encourages everyone to be diligent regarding the safety of their property – leave outside lights on; ideally keep vehicles in the garage, but if left outside, be sure they are locked; lock all exterior doors to your home; be aware of who is coming and going in your part of the community; do not approve requested access through the front gate unless you know the person(s) requesting access; and report any suspicious activity to the Whatcom County Sheriff.
